LinkedIn MCP
Privacy Policy
Public privacy policy for the LinkedIn MCP Personal developer app.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the LinkedIn MCP Personal developer app used by David Osses Mena to connect local tools with official LinkedIn APIs.
The app is a local Model Context Protocol server. It is not a public SaaS product, does not scrape LinkedIn, and does not automate browser sessions.
Data collected
The app may access LinkedIn profile data and publishing permissions only after explicit LinkedIn OAuth authorization.
The exact data depends on the scopes approved in LinkedIn, such as openid, profile, email, or posting scopes.
How data is used
LinkedIn data is used only to authenticate the authorized account, confirm the member identity, derive the author URN, and publish content requested by the authorized user through official LinkedIn APIs.
The app does not sell, rent, or broker LinkedIn data.
Storage and sharing
LinkedIn OAuth tokens are intended to be stored locally by the authorized user in their own development environment.
Tokens and profile data are not intentionally shared with third parties, except where required to operate official LinkedIn API requests initiated by the authorized user.
Security and revocation
Secrets and access tokens should not be committed to source control or posted in public chats.
Access to LinkedIn can be revoked from the user's LinkedIn account settings or by deleting the local token from the development environment.
